  • 8 cold fashioned oats
  • 1 c dry milk powder
  • 1 c whole wheat flour
  • 1 c raw wheat germ
  • 1 c sliced raw almonds (or other nuts)
  • 1 c raw sunflower seed
  • 1 c sesame seeds
  • 1 c unsweetened coconut
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 c water
  • 1 c healthy oil (almond, sesame, coconut, etc)
  • 1 1/2 c honey
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 2 c nut butter
  • 3 tbs pure vanilla extract
  • 4 c raisins (or other dried fruit)
  1. Mix the dry ingredients in a large roasting pan. Heat water, oil, honey, brown sugar, and nut butter over medium heat, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour over dry ingredients and mix well, until everything is well coated.
  2. Bake at 210°F for 4 hours or until it has turned golden brown, stirring every half hour to ensure even baking. Add the dried fruit and mix well. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 months. Store in your refrigerator or freezer for longer.
