Naturally Sweet Oatmeal Recipe

from the kitchen of: Susan; This gluten-free and naturally sweetened oatmeal gets the day off to a perfect start. Blogger Susan says that amounts don’t need to be exact, but suggests chopping the prunes first to create a sweeter tasting oatmeal.
  • 1/2 c oats
  • 2 tbs ground flaxseeds
  • 1 tbs ground chia seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch salt (optional)
  • 3/4 c water
  • 6 dried pitted prunes
  • 1/2 c warmed milk (optional)
  1. Mix dry ingredients in a medium bowl. Add water and prunes. Microwave on high for 1½ minutes. Stir and add warmed milk, if desired.
