- 1 (29-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 3 cloves garlic chopped
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- salt and freshly ground pepper
- In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a simmer and then lower the heat to maintain a simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
