Calzone Filling Recipe
  • 1 c cooked and drained ground beef
  • 1 c cooked and drained Italian sausage
  • 8 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 c grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 c grated mozzarella cheese divided
  • ½ c chopped onion
  • ½ c chopped green bell pepper
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  1. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients (except 1 cup of mozzarella) together. Stir well so all ingredients are coated with tomato sauce. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of the reserved cheese on top of each calzone’s filling prior to baking.
